The second caller after the first commercial asked them about RH returning to OLTL. Dan commented that if he were to return it was supposed to be in October and October is almost over. After that he pretty much insinuated that it was only rumor. Linda said that Roger was going on alot of different auditions for primetime shows.
At the end of the show she talked about RH again and gave her version of how the storyline should be if he returned. It was pretty much the storyline that we have all already thought of - TSJ being an imposter. But she thought that TSJ should be a homeless guy that was brainwashed into being Todd.
I didn't listen to this until today. I thought you all might be interested.

ReplyDeleteI also forgot to add that I get the picture that Linda Hirsh really likes RH alot. I called into a show about a year ago that Dan used to be on and she was the guest and I got to talk to her and we were talking about Roger.
ReplyDeleteBack then she told me to give ATWT a chance because he was in a really good storyline and he was great in it. But everytime I tuned in he wasn't even on and I gave up.

ReplyDeleteWhat I got from what Dan said is if he hasn't returned by now, he's not returning. Honestly I don't think Dan is a long time viewer of OLTL. I know he watches all the soaps but the soap he's been watching the longest is AMC. I don't think he dislikes RH but also don't think he has a preference one way or the other to RH or TSJ. Whereas I can tell Linda Hirsch knows RH is a much better actor and is the only Todd.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how someone can say that if he did not return a month after ATWT stopped airing, he isn't coming? The Soap World does not move that fast.....they usually do a huge build up to these kind of returns.

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you are right. Dan is rushing to judgement. And he is only going on what he's heard too. He doesn't have any solid evidence of anything about RH. If you read his article on SOC it was all speculation.
However, Linda Hirsch did seem to know what she was talking about regarding RH going on auditions. But she didn't say either way if she thought he would go back to OLTL. She said she would love to see him return.
Ellen, I think you'll love the chat box and make a great addition to it. Hope to see you another time. Of course he is going on auditions.....he's an outstanding actor.
ReplyDelete@Ellen, thanks so much for letting us know this. I called Dan on his old radio show and we talked about the Todds. He told me he liked both of them, but you are right, he is an AMC man all the way. His place used to be called "AMCpages." I don't think he would know anything about what RH is going to do. SON seemed to think it had a reliable source, so I still believe there is a good chance RH is coming back in the future.

ReplyDelete@Gail, I probably missed the time you called in because I would totally remember someone calling in about both Todds. I listened to that show alot and I called in 3 or 4 times. Thanks for the info on Dan liking both Todds. I always got the picture he was neutral but it's good to know he appreciates Roger to some extent. I know his site used to be called AMCpages and then it developed into all the soaps and then got really big.
