Which brings me to one little other point....it IS possible for OLTL to keep a return under wraps, if AMC did the same. It IS possible. It's something I never imagined would be, because of today's technology, but it IS POSSIBLE. So, the question remains - going on 4 months of waiting, we're just completing our third, do we continue to hope for the BIGGEST RETURN PULL-OFF IN SOAP HISTORY, or just give up and love our boy as he is in the annals of our memories?
This one is SURE to grab some responses from you guys out there in the peanut gallery!
Does he get any hotter than that?
I watched yesterday too b/c I saw something on twitter about a surprise done well. Let's hope OLTL has something planned too.
ReplyDeleteI like how VI said he couldn't tell even his closest fan group.
I was SO ENCOURAGED by this....it seems to me that is it possible for OLTL to do the same, and I am so looking forward to it. This did push my hopes back up a bit.
ReplyDeleteI love how they had to keep this even from the closest fans, that says a lot. I am more hopeful after this return that RH may be coming
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is a new trend in soaps. It would be great. I am sick of hearing about what's going to happen on soaps in advance.
ReplyDeleteRH's surprise return would be much more of a shocker than VI's return as he hasn't been off of AMC that long. I think with RH they gave us a tease and then completely stopped reporting anything so people would think it wasn't going to happen.
If it does happen, I can't wait to witness the reaction of all those smug TSJ fans out there.
Actually, it would be a return to the PAST of soaps, which was the days when we knew nothing, and just found out the hard way - watching and waiting.
ReplyDeleteI like all of your points, they all make total sense to me!
Thanks Kim! And yes you are right, it wouldn't be a new trend in soaps. It would be returning to the way soaps used to be. Which is so much better.
ReplyDeleteRight! I KNOW that you remember what I am talking about! We never knew what was coming because there was no daily technology screaming spoilers all over the place. It was so much fun to wait and see what would happen next. When a character died, we really were not prepared. Sometimes we could speculate and guess and talk about those guesses with each other....and wait and see who was right. The magic of that part has definitely been destroyed. What happened with VI on AMC was a taste of that magic again and I am so glad I took the time to actually watch that day's scenes (fluke) and catch it for myself.
ReplyDeleteIt was great and really well acted!
ReplyDeleteit was! ITA
