Ahhh, what about the 2003 insulting slap in the face to viewers who believe RH is the only Todd? The guy who wrote this is from We Love Soaps. They all are TSJ worshippers on those blogs. Don't ask me why.
Personally, Gail, I see nothing but the opposite of this person's argument. I see no other way for RH's return to work than for him to eventually be Todd, even if he starts as someone else. It makes NO SENSE to be behind his return as a new character, when he originated it, with that face, that personality, that body, that hair. LOL. To me, his return means that TSJ is not Todd.
The person who wrote that article is an idiot. RH needs to eventually be Todd, it only makes sense. I am sick of the "It's a slap in the face to TSJ fans" argument.
Well without namecalling, I'd say, AE, that you are probably right. There is no sense to the argument, considering Todd was originally RH and that's the only reason TSJ even HAS the status he does. He's been sort of riding on the coattails of the previous actor in many ways. He did not have to establish any of the major relationships he has with the other characters...Marty, Starr, Blair, Viki, and Tea all are from the past. Todd's NAME is there, but the character is nowhere.
RH is the only Todd. I couldn't disagree with the author of this article more. I know Roger would do great in any role he played but it would be painful to watch TSJ play Todd when RH is there on the show playing someone else.
TSJ is a great actor for sure but he just isn't 'Todd' to me. I am in no way bashing his job on OLTL in the role, it isn't his fault lots of us will only accept RH in the role of Todd! IF RH came back as the real Todd TPTB would have to come up with a really clever SL to switch the guys around and keep TSJ on board in a major character role so he doesn't lose any respect as an actor and as the character itself.
Remember to keep the posts positive, it is all in fun! A good hint is to use the @symbol when directing a comment at a specific person who posted prior to you, if you choose.
