Clip of the Day. Nov. 22, 2010

Here we are! The turning point in this story is about to happen - where Todd no long victimizes people, at least for a while. "Cheer up, handsome, at least you'll have a date every Saturday night!" Marty! You go girl!

Meanwhile, Powell is so close to the edge that Zach cannot believe his eyes. Zach's life is falling apart in front of his eyes as well. "We're the victims here, Man." Powell does not look convinced at all.

Marty was really taking her life in her hands with Suede outside the door. Sheesh. Marty really goes out on a limb to get Todd to say what she needs him to say....and along the way, these two are powerhouses that just burst through the screen. The chemistry between them is undeniable. He's nasty as ever here - with the terrible things he says to her about the rape. "We're bonded, Marty, people write songs about us." Little did he know we'd still be watching him this many years later (almost 20).

Why does she reach for the bandage? Interesting! I never noticed that before even though I have seen this multiple times. "Juries don't believe it when whores say they've been raped." Eek, Todd, you're just as vile as you can be! And Marty pushes right back! They are two excellent actors who feed off each other perfectly in their scenes, from this kind of vile exchange to the Marty Monster talk later on in the story.

I love Hank's reaction to his daughter's admittance of the plan. But, it was a tad silly the way they planned it. Again, a soap, so we definitely have to suspend belief. Jason and Kevin are roaring it up at the hospital. I found their scenes funny and light compared to the stuff going on in Todd's hospital room.

FAIL: Kevin's weird Hawaiian shirt. Suede's purple t shirt under a tan jacket, with khaki pants and an awkward physique. The poor guy, does he ever get a break? People are still talking about him to this day. Wonder what he is doing now? See SPOTLIGHT.
