A perfect clip to start our weekend! In juju's description, it says "the Scar" and nothing more!



Well, here we go. The music they had for Todd was just perfect. OLTL was on the ball back then! Him behind the fence there is a definite foreshadowing of what is to come...him behind bars! Love that moment, because as he decides to make Marty pay, he has also decided to seal to deal on his freedom.

How about that first moment she comes around the corner outside Roadies, and there he is? He's leaning there so nonchalantly, it's creepy all in its own. Some of his nastiest work is during this scene and some of his scenes with Nora. How he's standing there reminds me of a certain scene in his penthouse later, with Blair and with his keys in hand.

I love how Roger throws in "babe" once in a while when he's being vile. So effective. Roger is totally the best actor on TV in my book - if he'd get back to TV. And there's "slut" with the T excentuated. He's scary, he's vile, he's definitely dangerous. And Susan is also great here. Some folks don't know her in this capacity, she's such a good actress when given the right material.

Marty stands her ground here, which only makes Todd more angry and pushes him over the edge. I do believe he originally intended to scare her into not testifying again...but then, something takes over, and he goes over the top, as always. I think we have an idea what that something is.

This scene is the only time that I really liked Luna, except for the deathbed scene....she really steps in and makes an attempt to save her friend. That's the thing I liked about her, if anything. The whole scene goes perfectly from here on out. Todd is as vile as can be, Marty on the edge of becoming a victim yet again, and Luna, just somehow finding the strength to stop it from happening. Great drama with awesome acting on the part of SH and RH (a.k.a. The Hs.)

Meanwhile, back in Roadies, there's Jason making Powell feel like crap another time. Yay. Powell's the wimp from Hell and the music in the back fits perfectly.....once again. "I'm not like Todd, I'm nothing like him."

Back in the alley, can't you hear Peter Manning talking, "looks like I'm going to have to teach you both a lesson." Sounds like the things that were said to Todd as a child, and more than likely, the things that were done to him. "Guess what little Looney Bird?" That's where the nickname started, and it stuck!

During the next few scenes of the clip, we definitely see how sick he really is....the way he's taunting and threatening Marty, and after Luna gets "knocked out" he's actually stroking her hair - he's just totally mad. We're probably seeing into what he's dealt with during his life and not even knowing it. He's totally vile and disgusting and yet, because of the actor who makes it all real, we cannot help but love the work they are all creating. And wouldn't you know it, wimperly Powell is right there watching - AGAIN.

Ok who does NOT LOVE when Luna gets that damn pipe and smacks it to Todd? I always loved that moment, it's one for the girls. Just have to love it! I remember clapping a little when it happened! Even then, but Marty and Luna are appalled at what has happened to him, not because they like him at all, but because of what it means for Luna.....and Powell sees it all again. "Todd, what are you doing?" Uh, what does it LOOK like he's doing? you've seen it before, don't you recognize it?????

Juju, if you're reading this, I must say that the place you ended this clip was JUST PERFECT! A+ dear!

Ok onto the next idea . . .
There are different schools of thought concerning Todd here. Some people believe that this guy is not Todd, he's Pete. Others thing he's Todd because the DID was not real.....what do you all think? I won't give my opinion until someone posts in on QOTD - I will be restating this question there.

FAIL: Suede, the goodfornothing. He heard the whole broadcast, doesn't he wonder what is taking Marty so long???? Also, Powell, yet again, such a wimpy, spineless mess. I guess we have to accept it, because it leads to the best work Sean M. does on OLTL.
