This new game can be A LOT OF FUN and has a LOT OF POSSIBILITIES. The first player leaves three items, characters or places, or a combination of all three. The next player takes those three and turns them into a storyline for Todd!!!
I'll start. I give a slip of paper, a key and Roadies.
Someone - CREATE THE STORYLINE!
Then, LEAVE THREE behind for the next player! And so on!
Todd is sitting alone at a table in Rodi's. He's silently staring at a sealed envelope when the waitress places a shot, a beer, and a steak knife on the table infront of him. He tosses a few bills onto her cocktail trey. With eyes squinted slightly he smiles a slow smile as he watches her walk away then shakes his head as if to clear his thoughts and his eyes go back to the envelope before him.
ReplyDeleteTodd downs the shot, picks up his lit cigarette from the ashtrey, and takes a long drag. Finally, with the cigarette perched between his lips he picks up the envelope and the knife. With great intensity he slips the blade of the knife under the sealed flap and quickly slices it open along the top. He drops the knife back onto the table and stubs his cigarette out in the ashtrey.
Todd takes a swig of his beer then reaches into the envelope to pull out its contents. He looks curiously at a key then unfolds a slip of paper and starts reading.
Marty (voice over), "I can't believe I'm writing this to you of all people, but Todd...if you're reading this it's I'm in danger. I started receiving weird phone calls and letters...nothing was clear but it seemed as though they were trying to lead me to Patrick. I started investigating on my own and it led me to return here, to Inish Crag. I'm supposed to be meeting someone tonight...I don't know who he is, but I have a bad feeling...this key will lead you to a safe deposit box that holds copies of everything I've found so far."
Todd looks at her signed name, finishes his beer, tucks the envelope and keys in his pocket then hurries out the door.

here's the next 3 things...a piece of cloth, a candle, and scotch tape.
Todd finds himself back in Victor's tomb, except he does not remember who he IS and why he is there. He lights a candle, that was given to him by a dark-haired stranger, that he does not know. This stranger and two thugs violently shoved him into this crypt, and as he lights the candle, he can see the name VICTOR LORD on the tomb. Not knowing who that is, he rips a piece of cloth from his jacket pocket and uses it to wipe his brow. Studying his surroundings, he sees a note, fastened with a piece of scotch tape. "Crawl out if you dare" the note says. Right before the candle goes out, Todd sees a tunnel, crudely dug, and attempts to crawl through it to the unknown on the other side.

After having stepped in to break up a fight between Blair and Marty in which Blair said some cruel things, Todd sat down at a table with Blair and tried to cool her off while keeping a watchful eye over an unhappy and drunk Marty. After having downed another drink she gets up from the bar and staggers out. Todd waits only a moment before excusing himself and following after her. Todd follows her into the cemetary, but hangs back not wanting to bother her but wanting to make sure she's okay...he hangs back in the shadows as he watches her kneel down in front of a double tombstone. Marty pulls a stuffed rabbit from her bag and as she stares at it begins to cry. Todd watches for a moment before silently walking over and kneeling close by her. Quietly he asks her what's going on then silently listens as she talks about her parents.

Looking at the clock, Viki noticed that it was past midnight, and thought of the times her brother, staying in the attic upstairs, would be wandering the world after dark, vampirous in his habits, searching for his past. Until recently, she'd never really doubted that Todd was Todd. Sure, she never had a total acceptance of him with his new face, and in his reign of complacent meanness, she'd never really found the strength to ponder that he was not who he said he was, until now, not at all.
ReplyDeleteHis behavior over the last few years had seemed suspect to her in some ways, and she had pushed it back into her mind, which she was SO CAPABLE of doing with so many things throughout her life. His eating cake at Nora's wedding, dancing the bunny hop, engaging in a romance with Marty, (for heaven's sake); the things that plagued her mind over time and seemed just not right. But this last escapade at Thanksgiving had been the worst, when he, admittedly, forgot who Moose was? Was it possible that her brother could have FORGOTTEN who Moose was after almost 13 years? That is a LONG stretch. But was it possible that her brother, whom she knew so well, cried with and yelled at, and chastised for various reasons was NOT EVEN HERE?
Picking up the can of black paint, she slowly walked outside. Now she was vampirous in her habits, and she shuddered to think of it. She had to do it. She'd paint the door of her father's tomb black, again, now peeling and needing repair. Since that same tomb had also consumed her thoughts, and her brother's for years before, she had vowed to KEEP IT BLACK at all costs, to show the black legacy, the dark promise, her father had left them.
And so it was the night to do this very thing.
