Clip of the Day, Dec. 19, 2010

Sigh. Just to have these times back, or to see Roger create new things. What a Christmas gift that would be!

"One person can make a difference..." Nothing could be truer. Roger would make a huge difference for One Life, and Rebecca DID make a huge difference for Todd. Even though he's not being honest or forthright now in the story, but eventually it rings true.

"I wish your friend Nora nothing but Peace and Good Will." LOL! This is so well done - the scene changes to Nora and Bo with the letter complete with the scary Todd music. Loved OLTL then! Todd's doing his best to convince everyone he has changed and no one's buying it. He's at his most disgusting, yucky, scary self over these next clips. From this to his first escape and terrorizing of Nora and Marty and Suede, he is pretty nasty and vile. I LOVE his turn around, though, I think it might be my favorite part of the entire Todd story - up to that "nothing but a monster" talk. Roger makes it possible to see the light in this dark character. Beautifully done by the writers and a fantastic actor.

FAIL: Powell always being ABOVE Todd and Zach, it was slightly infuriating.

Sound off.

  1. OH Brother! Talk about laying it on thick ..Poor Rebecca so naive and trusting ..Powell and Zach had been around Todd long enough that they knew better to take Todd's change with a grain of salt but Rebecca didn't have a chance...Todd had to be struck down several times before he finally saw the light. Here's a guy that insulated himself deep within himself so that he wouldn't get hurt. It was the kindnesses; first from Rebecca, then the lady in New York and finally CJ and Sarah, that peeled back sll that insulation. With the insulation gone Todd could finally feel the wrong he had done and begin his recovery but until then insular Todd is just plain Bad.
