Tonight, found on Linda Hirsch on Soaps

"Q: I just bought a macaw. When I brought her home, my husband mentioned he once saw a bird just like her on a soap opera. Is that true? — Roberta, Jacksonville, Fla.

A: Yes. Hope that has you eating out of his hands for a while. The soap was "One Life to Live." The bird belonged to Todd Manning, at the time played by Roger Howarth. The bird he named Moose literally flew into Todd's office and life while he was having a business meeting. Moose became Todd's confidant. Two birds, Lucky and Flash, played the bird that loved Todd. It was jealous of his then-wife, Tea, and terrified Dorian. When Moose was being a loving pet and pal to Todd, Lucky took the stage. When Moose was terrorizing Todd's enemies, Flash was in the spotlight. In some scenes, the bird had lots of lines. Birds can do lots of tricks on cue. I know; I own an Umbrella cockatoo. Talking on cue is not so easy. Like children, they talk and squawk out of turn. Want them to be witty? They become mute. So when Moose had something to say, Ron Gallop did the voice. Gallop joked he taught the birds not to squeak so he could do all the talking. Todd and Moose's friendship lasted for several years in the late '90s."

Just something interesting. May be from 2009.
