I love his speech to Rebecca at the start of this clip. He puts his arm around her lovingly and promises to protect her.
This clip shows another reason that Susan was one of my favorites. She CRIES so well. She's a very convincing actress. It's kind of weird that the relegated her to nut status now, but she was a staple back then. I always loved Susan's work, even when I felt the character "overdid" it during the Hospital Rapes Stories.
Rebecca is invited to the party and Todd encourages her to go. "Heck, I would." LOL!
Ah, it's Christmas time in 1993....one year from this, Todd is having sex with Blair after everything is done. I love it.....! Rebecca is breaking the law, and is oblivious to that fact, but besides that . . . she's off to Marty's party. I'm just confused about his plan. He wants to be hidden but then he's going out to Marty's house during the party? Or is he just so obsessed by rage that he does not care if he's found out?
Ah here's the STALKER GARB! Roger was SUCH A HOTTIE in anything he wore. I never loved the knit cap look because it covered his hair, but he's a babe nonetheless. These upcoming scenes in this get up are the scariest Todd to me. What's your take?
FAIL: Kevin, Marty, Rachel and Rebecca just HAPPENED to be taking the same University Class with Sloan? Hmm what are the odds of that?

As i watched the beginning of this clip I feel like I'm watching two different Todds. At first he's manipulative Todd acting like he understand what Rebecca felt when she saw Angela and then he's different. Suddenly he drops the facade. For a minute he is sincerely sorry for scaring her and he really tries to make her understand that she shouldn't fear him but for me it's like a light goes on in his head and he says to himself "that's it Todd you 've got her, now reel her in" and he puts his arm around her and tells her he'llnot hurt her ever. The hug to me was manipulative Todd not sincere Todd.
ReplyDeleteOf course the hug does the job and Rebecca relaxes and she discusses getting him money so he can leave the country. His look at her when she says they'll never see each other again is interesting but then the phone rings. So off to Marty's Party goes Rebecca unaware the Todd is not far behind.
"Pete" has one thought get Marty. But before anything can occur Todd finds out Marty's leaving for Paris and his chance to get even is halted.. he's also made aware that Luna is going on her honeymoon so she too is out of reach...so Todd heads back to the Tabernacle...
With money from Rebecca Todd prepares to leave but not before finding out Nora's vacationing somewhere.. the plots thickens
