Save Our Stories - Monday's episode (12/12/11)

Roxie gathered Shaun, Destiny and Nigel in John's room to plan how they are going to S.O.S. (Save Our Stories). They already have some clever (and rather professional looking) signs. Talk turned to John and Natalie. Roxie, "to make a short story long," told the whole story of John and Natalie. Someone asked the "$64 question," as Roxie called it: why aren't Natalie and John together?

In Paris, Texas, Cutter was at the hotel booking a room for himself and Gigi while Rex walked into the Bonjour Cafe and asked for a table for three. On hearing Rex's voice, Gigi retreated to the kitchen. Vicki showed up and said that Shane was with Moe and Noelle getting ready for the pie bake off. So, Vicki and Rex sat to review the menu and order. Gigi, behind the door to the kitchen, listened while they reminisced about the good old days at the Bonjour, telling their stories about Charlie and Gigi. Rex turned around and said he could almost see Gigi there the way she was so many years ago. Then Rex told Vicki the whole story of Stacy/Gigi.

Gigi called Cutter, who said she'd love their room with the vibrating bed. But Gigi was worried about running into Rex, wondering if she should confront Rex. Cutter told her to stay out of sight and he would be there to help. Meanwhile, the other waitress wanted to know when Gigi was coming out to help.

Upon seeing Vicki, too, Cutter decided to pay a preacher to come in and sing "The Good News" to distract Vicki and Rex while Cutter slipped in and got Gigi out.
When things settled down and the waitress chased the "preacher" out, she asked if Vicki or Rex had seen the other waitress. They said no and the waitress, looking frustrated told them she was going to see if Noelle would fill in. Vicki stood up and said she'd be happy to. There just happened to be a uniform in the back with the name Vicki on it. Still, no one has had any food.

Both Clint and Kimberly had bones to pick. Each read their letter to the other, telling the story that neither of them had written the letters. Cutter, Kimberly said. Clint didn't understand. So, Kim told him the whole story of Cutter and how he was her brother and that she had nothing to do with the scam Cutter and the recent Aubrey Wentworth tried to pull on the Buchanans.

John was in his office at the station when Natalie came in with Liam. She's offered to let John take Liam home with him for the night. John wondered if there was anything she wanted to say. Natalie thought he meant about the two of them, but John wanted to know if there were any special instructions for Liam. Seems a rather bold thing to leave Liam alone with John (who has no experience with children.) But Natalie said, there was nothing to say. Liam's a good boy. And, I guess, quiet, like his dad.
John burst in on the Fraternity Row brigade. When the phone rang he gave Liam to Destiny who looked very uncomfortable, but seemed to enjoy it. Then, John chased everyone out so he could spend time with his son. John was very talkative, bonding with Liam, talking about Natalie. Then Natalie came to the door. She had forgotten to give him Liam's favorite blanket. (I can just hear Liam talking about his parents acting like babies.) John asked Natalie to stay, but she said he had time to make up for with his son. But outside the door, she paused and sighed.

We got to see Todd and Blair turn together in unison again, as Tea said she needed to speak to Blair. Tea reported that John had information on Victor's killer. Despite Tea wanting to talk to Blair alone, Todd wanted to hear about who killed his brother. Tea chickened out and told a story that Tomas was the main suspect. Blair told her that Tomas had admitted to killing victor on their "video chat." Todd was almost hiding behind Blair and took her hand. Tea and Todd had a stare down match as Tea told the story of how hurt she was that someone betrayed her, that she had trusted and believed in, defended and loved, as if she were talking about Tomas, but might just as well be referring to Todd. I don't think she did a good of hiding her true suspicions. When Blair sympathized with Tea over how badly she must be feeling, Todd looked decidedly uncomfortable.

Tea went out into the hall to call John and tell him the story of Tomas' call. John told her a story that Todd might have threatened him to make that call. Todd and Tea stared at each other again. Todd was right in her face and Tea told him she wanted the killer caught, "No matter who he is." Todd told her he was sorry for everything and melted my heart. The doorbell rang and there was a police officer to take Blair's computer in case there was cyber trail. Tea couldn't hide her snarkiness. There is no way that Todd didn't know she was on to him.

Tea said she might stay awhile to comfort Blair, but Todd told her he could comfort her just fine and sent Tea on her way, assuring her she was leaving Blair in "good hands." He returned to the living room and easily slipped his arms around Blair again and she sank into his embrace. Sigh!

Back in Texas, Gig and Cutter were packed and ready to leave, but Rex was just outside the door in the hallway. And Vicki's first customer was Charlie.
