Won't You Please, Please Help Me (Wednesday's Episode 12/14/11)

Starr came into Todd's office. He looked happy to see her! She told him that Blair and Tea were getting a tree, with Dani in tow.

The three of them were in Angel Square, talking about Tomas. Blair said they all needed to come to grips with it. Dani was struggling to believe it. Tea said she didn't and flashed back to John telling her not to tell Blair. Blair thanked Tea for defending Todd when no one else believed in him. Tea told her to shut up. Tea was jumpy. She said she wanted to "throttle" Todd. After all, he had everything and her husband was dead. Tea was having a hard time and needed some help, so she excused herself.

Dani and Blair had a good talk about Tomas and Eli. Dani wisely pointed out she hadn't even known Tomas a year ago. At least, Blair said, they knew who killed Victor. But now she had to get a tree for Sam. Dani went for some hot chocolate.

In his office with Starr, Todd seemed jumpy, too. He looked good in that vest, but it was a different sort of wardrobe for him. (What happened to the black turtlenecks and black pants?) Starr was pleased with Tomas' confession because it meant Todd was off the hook for the murder. Todd didn't seemed as pleased. He kept saying things like he felt bad for Blair and Tea. He didn't mean for any of this to happen. Typical Todd to not think about the consequences of his actions.

Starr was there to ask for his help with Rick. Todd told her not to worry about it, he'd take care of everything. I'm not sure how long this has been going on in Soap Time, but I think Starr should've come to her Dad long ago.

Starr advised Todd not to foist himself on Blair. Todd retorted, much as he wanted to foist himself on her, he would play it cool. Starr told him he should tell Blair how he feels. Todd always listened to Starr, even when she was a little girl. I just love seeing them together! There's so much warmth between them. Todd said he didn't want to blow it after all he'd done to get her back. Starr wanted to know what he'd done. Well, he saved it, all he went through to survive the torture and the gunshot wound. Blair gave him the will to heal. Starr asked him to give Blair time. Todd promised to take it slow . . . yeah, right.

Natalie came into John's office to tell him she thought this Tomas story was weird. Why would Tomas call to tell Blair that? John thought he just might have wanted to talk to her. After all, he'd been trying to talk to Natalie since Thanksgiving. Natalie said they were two different things. Their talk slipped into Liam and onto some jazz. I don't remember them having such an easy time together. Natalie was uncomfortable and quickly went back into work talk. John said he wanted a location on Tomas. And he wanted to know why she was talking to him as if they just met. He thought she was holding something against him. Talk to me, he said. Odd thing for John to say. I would've liked to have heard what Natalie had to say to that, but Tea walked in.

Tea wanted to know who knew about their suspicions about Todd. John said just him, Tea and Bo. Tea was disgusted listening to Blair writing sonnets to Todd. John reminded her that if she wanted to find Tomas, to keep him alive, they had to let Todd think he'd gotten away with it. Tea was distraught, hormones raging. John asked if she was okay and then put his arms around her to help. Just in time for Natalie to walk in and see.

The crew: Shaun, Roxie, Nigel and Destiny were watching Fraternity Row and having a great time. Afterwards Destiny told them she needed help. She didn't know how Matthew felt about the baby. Roxie reminded them all a good soap opera brings people together. They were all there to support Destiny. Truthfully, Destiny has more help than most.

The big news is that Matthew came home today! David put together party decorations to welcome him home. No one bothered to thank him for that. It certainly was thoughtful and worth acknowledging when David does something for someone else.

I so enjoy David, but he is sometimes hard to keep up with. Mom and Dad wanted Matthew to take it easy. David was concerned about the hair care products Matthew had at the hospital. Matthew chased his parents out asking for lots of food from the Buenos Dias Cafe.

Nora needed help. She was still upset that Matthew was angry at her. Bo reminded her they had their son back and much to be grateful for. I agree. Nora, get over it and focus on Matthew and not your hurt feelings. Bo gave her wise advice to take it one step at a time: Get Matthew the food he wanted.

Matthew wanted his brother's help in dealing with this baby thing. He felt overwhelmed and didn't know how to deal with it. Matthew wasn't aware David had gotten a girl pregnant when he was young, too. David was miffed that Matthew didn't remember him telling him, not long ago. Matthew reminded him he was in a coma, so tell him again. David never got a chance to help him, because Destiny came in. David had to go do an interview with Blanco Moralis. Matthew made him promise they'd continue the conversation later. David offered that he and Dorian would be the godparents, as he left to see Vicki before the interview. Destiny said she had something to ask Matthew.

David arrived at Vicki's only to find Roxie who thought he was just the help she needed!

After Starr left his office, Todd called Blair. He casually asked her how it was going. Could he help her? Blair said she wanted him to make it all not true. But, of course, he couldn't. (He could.) Blair told him what a good ex-husband he was. I was hoping she'd ask him to help her pick out a tree . . . No. They were about to hang up, but Blair was still there when Todd called her name. There was something he needed to tell her.
