Starr’s Loss – Tuesday, February 28, 2012

Michael said anxiously that the car went through the rail, but hadn't slipped yet, while Dante was calling in a report. But then the car shifted again and dropped over the edge. Dante screamed “Michael” as he watched Michael head for the car.

Dante had to pull Michael back up onto solid ground. The car, with Hope and Cole was gone. Michael kept muttering that he promised he’d save them, as the two looked over the edge. Dante assured him there was nothing he could’ve done. There was no way they survived the fall. But Michael made a promise. Just then the car blew up.

Sirens were heard, but Starr still didn’t stir. Mac showed up on the scene. Michael scooped up Starr and said he was taking her to the hospital. Dante went into the other car and found out it belonged to Anthony Zacchara. After Mac looked over the car, he declared that someone had shot out Anthony’s tire and that’s what caused the accident.

Michael brought Starr into the hospital and they got her a bed. Still unconscious, Michael helped the nurse take off Starr’s jacket. The nurse asked who she was. Michael didn’t know, but digging in her coat pocket he found an ID.

Starr remained unconscious while the hospital tried to contact her family. (Yes!) Michael was still blaming himself. When he was allowed back in to see her, he hung over Starr, aching over the hurt she would feel. He promised he would find out who was responsible. Was it Sonny?

Meanwhile, at Windermere where some crazy nonsense was going on with a daughter Helena is too old to have had, lying dead on the floor. Helena was threatening to kill Ethan in front of Luke, when Holly showed up. Sussing out the situation, Holly claimed that Ethan was not, in fact, Luke’s son, but Robert’s. (I just love the way she says Robit , , , ) Helena wasn’t buying it any more than I was. But it was great to see Holly again. Looking astoundingly good for her age.

I’d just like to make a side note about Robin’s death. I have been saddened over it, but knowing that Kimberly is off to bigger and better things, I wish her well. And as others have pointed out, it would not be the first time a Scorpio blew up, only to return to life. But I have to say, I thought that whole thing was so ridiculous. First of all, how is it that Maxie could come into the lab like that? A place so well protected it shuts down in case of an emergency. Wouldn’t Robin and Patrick be better versed in the hospital emergency procedures? Why wasn’t the hospital evacuated? It all seemed a little too contrived for me. But, it is Soap Opera. And maybe I just don’t care for Maxie and her whining.

Now that they know who Starr is, it can’t be long until Blair and Todd arrive!
