Friday’s Episode (June 22, 2012)
Todd came to see Starr’s new place and find out why she wanted to live there instead of with him. Then he met Trey, who was half dressed and looking for his moisturizer. Todd took an instant dislike to him. (Todd does have a sense about people.) Starr assured him they were just sharing expenses. Todd hoped that wasn’t code for anything. Starr shooed him out saying she was late for meeting Michael.
When Todd returned to his hotel room, someone was lurking outside it. Spinelli was acting as Lookout as Sam searched Todd’s room for a connection to Heather. She found Heather’s resume on his desk, which she took pictures of and a crumpled up piece of paper on the floor which turned out to be the article about her baby’s death.
Meanwhile, outside the door, Spinelli was tap dancing with Todd trying to get him away from the room. Spinelli told him they should go down to the bar for a drink. Todd asked if he was asking him out. Spinelli called him Mr. Manning. How did he know his name? Well, of course, Spinelli recognized the newest media giant in town. Todd wanted him to un-recognize him. Spinelli spewed on and Todd said, “I guess you’ve heard before that you talk funny.” Finally, Todd walked around him and into the room. Spinelli came in after him, chattering about the room decor and distracting Todd as Sam slipped out. Todd put up with Spinelli as a harmless nuisance. But when he left, Todd discovered the article, smoothed out, on his desk.
