Llanview Sighting – Negotiating Women

Tuesday’s Episode (June 19, 2012)

Starr was singing.  It wasn’t the OLTL song, but something about how must she missed someone who was never coming back.  Johnny was watching, looking extremely uncomfortable.  When she finished, asking if she could redo the end, Johnny was very encouraging and said she sounded great.  Starr said she just had to get her dad on board.

Starr assured Johnny her father was okay with Sonny now, as long he doesn’t hurt her.  Johnny said she was lucky her father was so protective.  Starr replied that he was rather over protective and impulsive.  She had to look out for him.  She explained that he did what he thought was right at the moment.  Now that they knew who caused the accident, neither of them wanted revenge.  Her father just wanted Starr to live with him, but she wasn’t going to do that.

Starr showed up at Maxi’s who was looking for a roommate, now that her husband was in jail and Spinelli had helped to put him there.  But Christina’s new video producer, Trey, wanted it too.  (I wonder if he’s related to Joe, Jr. or if they’re just going to leave that alone.)  As they negotiated for who Maxi should pick to be her roommate, Trey called Starr, Girlie.  Starr told him not to call her that.  She was Starr with two Rs!

With Heather having broken into his suite, Todd reminded her that he might not be violent all the time, but he was good at it.  Heather told him there was no need for violence, it was business.  Todd asked her to knock next time.  When Heather said she wanted to talk about the paper, he said he would be happy to send her a free subscription.  Heather retorted that she wanted more and that his media empire would fall if she told the truth about Sam’s baby.  Todd came back with his card to call the cops and tell them about Anthony Zacchara.

Heather started to spout more of what she knew of Todd’s past.  Todd said he was not happy about a lot of the things he’d done.  He wouldn’t have taken Sam’s baby if Heather hadn’t convinced him that Sam didn’t want her baby.  Heather corrected him and said it was the father who didn’t want the baby.

But Heather wanted to focus on her future.  She wanted a new life, with her man and a new job.  Work?  Todd asked.  (Seems to me she could’ve saved a lot of time and just asked him for a job, but Heather always works an angle and threatens, even if she doesn’t have to.)  She wanted freedom and stature. Todd wondered if this man in her life was the one who whacked Anthony.

Todd was fretting that you can’t be nice to anyone, because it always comes back to bite you.  He tried to be nice to Tea, to make amends for what he’d done.  If he gave Heather a job, there was to be no more talk of dead babies.

Heather thought she should be Style Editor.  Todd thought Gardening or Obituaries.  He told her to think about it.  Heather was excited about Todd and Luke being beholden to her!  Todd wanted her to leave, but before she went, she asked for an advance.  Not knowing her that well, Todd gave her money.  (Not a good combination: Heather and money!)
