Todd was looking for a place to live when he heard a knock at his hotel suite door. He went to see who it was and then flexed his shirtless muscles. It was Carly at the door, delivering his complimentary paper, the first issue of the Port Charles Sun. Did the headline read, “Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself”? Who are you? Carly asked.
(Seems they’re both interested in each other. But for what? We’ll have to wait and see.) Todd replied that he was a Media Mogul after having bought the newspaper, a cable network and a magazine called “Crimson.” It’s all under Manning Enterprises, ME. Todd liked it. Carly was shocked he had bought Crimson from Kate when she was so sick.
Todd replied that he might be despicable, but his children all had trust funds. Todd wanted Carly’s opinion on the paper. He told her he expected honesty from her. She told him to get dressed.
Todd returned shortly with some clothes. He wanted to look like “a man of wealth and taste.” (Which would finish the lyric of the headline, referring to the Stones’ class, “Sympathy for the Devil.”)
Carly was sad, having read the article about Sam’s baby and the funeral. He assured her that this edition had been thrown together at the last minute. Carly went on about the unfairness of Sam losing her baby. Todd looked genuinely sad and said he was sorry for her suffering. Carly left to the go to the funeral. Todd ripped out the article about the funeral.
Later, Carly was at the grave site, comforting Sam – which surprised everyone. Carly noticed Todd was there, too. She spoke to him quietly, saying they could have carpooled. Todd uttered he was just another Media Mogul with a scar. Carly didn’t realize his heart was bigger than she thought.
Todd was back in his suite, reading the paper, when Heather barged in saying the story of Sam’s baby should be front page news.
