Clip of the Day, October 6, 2010

Ok, another great day....another great clip.

Hmm wonder why Juju starts this one with a repeat of the tennis outfit????? (LOL) Powell stinks. I cannot stand his wimpiness. It really shows against the Alphamaledom of my darling Todd. He's SO brutal here and obviously, he will be getting worse before he gets better. I also love Nora in this story, as she starts unraveling. She's AMAZING during this part of the story. The writers certainly knew how to present the details to a point of perfection.

"Kevin's got a mind of his own." I love it, Kirk's Kevin really did.

Okay, "here comes Peter Manning's Face, wrecking Todd all over the place" )sing that to the Peter Cottontail theme and you've got something to stick in your head for the rest of the day.) Marty's appearance near Powell shakes up the little bowl of jello even more. Love how they used flashbacks and dreams to make a point. Another sorely missing thing.

God, Peter Manning Face is SO menacing here, I immediately remember understanding Todd volumes more when seeing his act. He also TOWERS over the other actors....what a big guy! No wonder Todd was powerless over him. Both Mannings are disgusting in these scenes, and to tell the truth, I had forgotten about this one completely. OOOh Jason Webb, now that was what I call a moment. Thank you! Where's Country Boah Suede? Marty plays terror so realistically. What a cast. No one is slacking.

Zach "I just hope there's no more surprises comin, man." Zach, don't you know that whenever our boy is involved, there will be surprises? That's what made Todd great. Well, it's PART of what made him great, let's say that. As testimony continues, my focus turns to Nora. I love to start catching the little looks and the way she's starting to see things. Susan Haskell is TOTALLY believable as a rape victim, and the character of Nora starts, over the next few eps, to really doubt her clients - making for another unforgettable OLTL courtroom drama.

Question of the Day: Could TPTB have KNOWN what they planned for Todd's father to be when they wrote this? How far in advance did they plan the abuse of Todd?

FAIL: I will say this for a long, long time, probably eternally, that OLTL failed not just making Jason Webb the man who picked up Marty's pieces. They didn't even need to invent Suede. I am still at a loss why a person named after leather would be brought on the show for Marty, of all people. I think the obvious love interest was right there all along. Sound off!
