Ok these KIDS are so cute, letting Todd have his time with Rebecca!! They hate Powell, too!
"I'm crazy about those kids." And he is.
Rebecca at first is just not warming up to the idea of him being alive and having hidden there all that time....and lying to the kids.
This clip I am going to leave unsaid for you all to respond to! I am too busy swooning to make myself write. ROGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (fangurl screams)

Talk about blase' one moment we have the intense My God You're Alive scene and the declaration from Todd that he loves her. Then the next scene we see with them, she's just sitting there treating his hand. Can you say transitional shock. No seriously, this girl was nuts, but then the guy she was with was also a little crazy. but that's what made them good together. You never knew which side of Todd or Rebecca you were going to see. She got all protective of the kids when she thought Todd had just been using them and he quickly let her know that he really thought the world of them. She was like a moth to a flame, and Todd was her flame. Rebecca knew he was dangerous but she just couldn't resist his attractions. Still when Todd tells her he wants her to go away with him , her fear of his violence takes center stage and instead she tell him he needs to get help. When she tells him she's doesn't love him and she's with Powell, he loses it. He 's really upset that he hurt her and she tells him she going to call the police. Todd is pretty sure that she's still has feelings for him so Todd lays it all out on the table and ask that she not give him away to the police and when Powell comes looking for her, Todd puts his faith in her love for him. In the early days of Todd's redemption he still had it in him to trust. Of course later on after that trust gets trampled on one too many times, we'll see him take trust out of the equation. For now , Todd trusts Rebecca and this time she does come through for him, she lies to Powell. Little does she know it, but that one action says more to Todd then anything else and although Rebecca will continue to lie to herself. Todd will take a piece of Rebecca with him just like he'll leave a piece of himself with her. Todd's relationship with Rebecca and the children was a building stone to Todd relationship to the world around him, he had to learn to give and take with them before he was able to do the same with his life outside the circle that was Todd and Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Rebecca's really upset about the thing with the kids...she's just looking for anything to mention in order to avoid the inevitable mention of the main subject. She's afraid to reject him...and she also doesn't want to. She's scared to go with him, and she's scared to turn him down.
