Only a few days until the end. I'll need to write a Roger post before then, I suppose.
Did I say that? The end? How can I be even talking about an ending for a soap that I grew up believing would always be there? I never talk about my age or anything but I can tell you I've known OLTL for 36 years. I saw the creation of Todd, and a lot of other characters, first hand. This is a terrible time for people who've loved it from the start, or close to it. I have a friend who was there for the opening day! It's a bigger travesty than can be described, as we've known some of these characters longer than some people IRL!
Such a shame. My hopes now are that Agnes Nixon is able to retain the rights to the show as the creator, and possibly find a new home. To support that thought, you can join this FB group http://www.facebook.com/groups/198139810275324/ or write to Robert Iger and politely request that he let go of the rights to the show.
Sigh. Otherwise, Todd Manning, as we know and love him, will be on for the last time in a little over a week. I for one am looking forward to "every little bit."
Sigh.
