To the Rescue! (Thursday's Episode - 1/5/12)

There was way too much going on in this episode. They sure must love the fans to work this hard for us! I'm so choked up, I can barely take it. What will life be like without One Life?

This was all very complicated. Mitch had Natalie. Jessica spoke up on Mitch's after-an hour return call. She said, "Yes, Father, I'm coming." Mitch told Jessica where they were. So, Jessica and John set out to retrieve Natalie. Just an hour, Jess said and they'd be back. Meanwhile, Ford showed up at Llanfair and demanded to know where Jessica was, worried when he heard Mitch had escaped. (Jessica and Ford have shared much . . . )

At the church, Mitch decided he wanted to have a child with Natalie and prepared a sheet on the floor for their lovemaking. Just before it got ugly, John came in with a gun. Mitch demanded Jessica who came forward, but said he couldn't have her until he let Natalie go. Two guns pointing at each other, the exchange was made and Mitch cooed all over Jessica until she spit in his face. Wiping his face with the gun, Mitch proclaimed that the daughter who offended her father shall be put to death. Out of left field, someone sprang into the church and knocked Mitch to the floor. I guess it was Ford, but after several rewinds, I couldn't tell for sure. They wrestled on the floor and a gun went off. John ran closer to the action and Natalie screamed. Another gun shot.

After insisting he take her with him, Bo and Lindsay arrived at the right cabin - the same one where Troy had taken Matthew when he kidnapped him. Not very clever of Troy. Nora was pleading with Troy not to drug her. She wisely pointed out that if he wiped out her memory, she might also forget him. No, no, Troy was a doctor and knew the "right" amount to give her. He could pick and choose what she'd remember and what she wouldn't. Bo and Lindsay were listening outside. Bo had a plan.

Just before Troy was about to stick Nora with the hypodermic needle, Lindsay sprang into the cabin. She told them Troy was free to have Nora without the drug because she had killed Bo. Nora was shocked, Troy was confused. Then, Bo sprang into the cabin from the back door and wrestled with Troy. He finally knocked him out and Nora had a go at Lindsay. This scene also included a flashback of Nora and Lindsay, where Lindsay was threatening Nora with a needle. (Handy when the same actresses have played the roles.) After the tussle, Lindsay ended up with Troy's gun. When Bo explained that Lindsay had been a big help and saved Nora, they both thanked her. Lindsay wanted a pardon instead. Troy woke up and the wrestling began again. A gun went off.

Vick and Clint were agonizing over Jessica and Natalie when Vicki looked at the TV screen. (A good newspaper woman has to stay up on the latest in a crisis.) She turned up the volume and the broadcaster reported that Allison Perkins, long time follower of Mitch Laurence, had also escaped. Poof! There she was outside the French Doors of the Drawing Room at Llanfair. She sprang in the room with a gun. Allison went on at length about her revelations of late and how she was no longer under Mitch's control. Oprah had taught her not to give away her power to anyone else. Seems Allison set up the breakout, not Mitch. Allison was babbling about the baby switching with Jessica and Natalie, and how one being Clint's daughter and one being Mitch's daughter in the same womb was rather farfetched, almost impossible. Vicki wanted to know what she meant by that. It sounded like Allison wanted to say something about their daughters. Allison just smiled. "Goodbye Vicki and Clint. It's been real." Allison said.

Oh the ins and outs, comings and goings with the kids at La Boulet was hard to follow. In the Cabana, Starr seemed confused by Cole's kiss. James convinced Sam to tell him where they were. Sam sent him off with a fire from his guy (which was not a water pistol as I suspected, but maybe some kind of laser gun that made strange noises.) James walked in on Cole and Starr talking. Starr admitted that she loved James, but she also loved Cole and wanted to help him. Cole talked of leaving with Starr, but James pointed out that Cole was putting Starr and Hope in danger. If Starr got caught harboring him, she'd go to jail and Hope would be left with no parents. (Though doting grandparents . . . ) Cole had to agree. But he wanted to see Hope once more.

Meanwhile, in the house, Sam was still up. (I wonder where Jack and Blair are.) He was on the floor playing when someone snuck in the house. (Are the doors not locked? Why didn't they send at least one policeman there?) It turned out to be Hannah O'Connor, the crazy girl who had tried to steal Cole away from Starr. Sam knew all about her and was not pleased to see her, told her to "take a hike." Hannah asked him to tell her where Starr and Cole were, but Sam wouldn't budge. She scooped him up and then Todd showed up. Not sure where he came from, but I was happy to see him. He tried to talk Hannah into leaving Sam out of it, in the process revealing all he knew about him. Hannah wanted Cole. Cole, James and Starr sprang into the room. A united front. James and Starr asked after Sam at the same time. Hannah said she knew Cole would be there, Todd didn't. Cole talked to Hannah, telling her that Starr was with James and that Hannah and Cole could escape together. He managed to talk her into it and she let Sam down. Quick series of events: Sam kicked Hannah in between her legs, she fell onto Cole and Todd swept up Sam and took him out. After the struggle it looked like Cole ended up with the gun.

What will happen Friday?
