Plain Talk (Wednesday’s Episode, May 16, 2012)

Todd came up behind Michael talking to his mother about the situation with Starr, and said that anyone who hurts Starr is on his hit list. Then he sweetly apologized for interrupting their conversation.  Michael told him that Starr did try to kill his father.  Todd argued that she was overcome with grief and it was not okay with him for Michael to accuse her.  Michael stood up to him!  He was no match for Todd, but I think Todd was impressed. Todd asked him to have compassion for Starr.  Michael said he would do what he had to do. Todd said he would do the same.

Meanwhile, Tea came to see Starr, asking if she’d had any visitors.  Like who?  Like her dad.  Starr thought he’d gone home.  Tea was convinced Todd would mess up everything and wanted to keep him away from Starr. Tea had ideas for her case, but Starr didn’t want Tea to use Michael’s past to discredit him. They argued about it and Starr told Tea that she and Michael had connected, they understood each other.  She never tried to use him.

Sonny was in his office, mooning over a picture of him and Kate, when his assistant said there was someone to see him. It was Todd. Todd plainly asked Sonny if he would drop the charges against Starr. Sonny flatly refused.  Todd said he knew Sonny didn’t cause the accident which killed Cole and Hope, but that Starr just didn’t know it yet.  She wasn’t thinking straight when she pulled the gun on him.  Sonny said he wasn’t budging. Todd again said simply, that Michael needed to take back his statement.  Why?  Sonny retorted in that way he has.  “Funny you should ask,” Todd replied.  If Sonny didn’t make this go away, Todd would tell the DA who really shot out the tires: Connie. “You may know her as Kate,” he finished.

That’s my boy!
