"Another one of those nights where I am asking myself, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to ABC DAYTIME. Having grown up watching it, I can't FATHOM THIS ENDING to it. I just can't. And every once in a while it hits me and a rant is born.
Can this be? IN whatever weeks, Todd Manning won't exist. Luke Spencer won't. Anna Devane - no longer. And I try and I try and I say, THIS CAN'T REALLY BE. All the soaps we watched. ABC was the TOP of DAYTIME. The pinnacle. Luke and Laura's wedding! Todd's prime time episode!
If I keep saying it, maybe I'll get an answer. HOW CAN THIS BE? We grew up knowing - KNOWING - that General Hospital would be there when our kids were having kids. To be wrong about that is a terrible end to something the current day regimes DON'T UNDERSTAND.
I can't bear it. Losing Todd Manning ALONE (and that's not to mention Blair Manning, Victoria Lord, Erica Kane, Luke Spencer, Laura Spencer, Robert Scorpio, Frisco and Felicia, etc). in the next 5 months or less makes NO SENSE TO ME. THIS genius character created and molded by a genius actor....and to lose it, or let it go....ABC deserves the very bottom spot in every television ratings war there ever is again. PERIOD.
Ok this rant has passed. I'm sure there will be more. Roger Howarth, we love you and your work and ABC DAYTIME has no idea what it is sitting on by ending the story of Todd and Blair (@kassiedepaiva) and all the other amazing couples we're losing since last year by killing these shows. A waste of our time, a waste of our LIFETIMES that we spent loving our ABC soaps."
