Bo stopped by to see John. They shared a sweet moment since both of them had their sons back. Then, they talked about the Victor Lord investigation. Bo wondered why Calmar would confess. John thought it was all too neat. John and Bo still think Todd is the prime suspect. Perhaps Todd has something on Calmar which forced him to lie about Tomas . . .
Roxie asked Natalie to sit down so she could tell her about the cancellation of Fraternity Row. Natalie was sorry for her, but reminded her the characters aren't real. Roxie heartily disagreed. With her knickers in a twist, Roxie started in on Natalie about getting back together with John. One can't really blame Natalie for being a little gun shy. Twice, she said, she was at the altar about to be married and it didn't happen. Natalie thinks John hasn't forgiven her, doesn't love her enough. He certainly hasn't said it. Roxie made some good points. That Nat was behaving just like John. Not telling him how she feels. Roxie is sure firing on all cylinders these days! She told Natalie, if she didn't tell John she loved him, Roxie would. Natalie followed her to the police station where Roxie burst in, interrupting John's talk with Bo by telling them it was a matter of "love and death." Natalie pulled her out before she could speak and threatened to ban Roxie from seeing Liam. Cheap trick, if you ask me. Roxie came back into the office stammering a bit and asked if Bo (who produced Fraternity Row at one time) could help save it. Bo's an Ex police commissioner now; there's nothing he could do. Roxie told them to go online and sign the petition. John doesn't watch much TV. Not at all surprising.
Neela's attempt to get Jack to confess about killing Gigi failed. Jack talked openly about what he did to Shane and how sorry he was for that. Neela believed him. I'm afraid Andrew Trischitta's just not up to the task. It's hard to tell if he really means it or not. Jack called her and to ask if they could see each other again. Neela's eyes lit up, but she looked over at Shane through the window of the diner . . . was that guilt or pity on her face?
Shane was disappointed at Neela's detecting job. And when Rex strolled in, Shane let loose on him, silly hair and all. (I wish that kid would get a haircut. He needs a mother!) Austin Williams has so much more range than his counterpart in Jack. Rex confessed everything. Why he had gone to Rio and what he had found out about Stacy. Shane told him that Noelle was going to Paris, Texas for the pie bake off with her Gigi Morasco Memorial pie. Rex heard the call and even flashed back to when he and Gigi first found each other. Back when Gigi had brown hair. (I guess that's why she's back to her old color. Though I shudder to think how she managed to color her hair on the road from Rio!) Rex and Shane plan to go to Paris, Texas together.
Back in Texas, at the Bonjour Cafe, Gigi was recognized by a customer. Cutter felt bad, decided she was going to find out sooner or later and so told her who she really was. I was cheering! Cutter is a good guy. He does really care about her and Gigi's influence is making him a better person. Gigi was stunned at first, but then she decided she'd put on her coat and go back to Llanview, to her son and her fiancee. But it turned out, Cutter is a jerk and was only imagining it. Why couldn't they wave the picture or something? Realizing that Gigi must have been there before, Cutter tried to talk her into leaving. Gigi, smart girl, said she liked it there and wanted to stay.
I admit, I can't concentrate when Roger's on the screen. I get totally sucked into it. But I suspect we are being teased. Todd was in his office putting together the cover for the Sun, convicting Tomas. (I wonder if he's amazed by the improvements in technology since last he was a newspaper man.) Blair came in and started to rail at him. She thought he was behind her. Of course he is. She went on a rampage. She wanted a reward offered for information on Tomas and to discredit Calmar! She continued storming about how she'd been fooled too many times by men. She wasn't going to believe Tomas was guilty! After all, she picked him over . . . she stopped. Todd, sitting close to her on the small sofa, said, "Over me." I melted. Blair insulted him. Said, next to him, Eli looked good. How could she? But she kept on. Todd said he could tell her how he felt, but he never did. They were close again, standing next to the pillar, and I thought maybe now . . . But Blair was in such a rage, she stomped away. Probably feeling the heat between them. He kept reassuring her, he was on her side. In the end he gave in and changed the cover to offer a reward, saying "They'll never find him." Breath. Maybe next time.
Blair came home and at just that moment, her computer beeped. She opened it up to see Tomas.
