Llanview Sighting – Joe Junior Did It All

Thursday’s Episode (June 14, 2012)

On his way out of town, John stopped by to see Sonny.  He wanted to remind him that, though he was leaving town, John was going to make Sonny pay for what he did to his sister.  As John was heading out the door, Sonny told him to wait.  He was going to tell him how his sister died.

Sonny began a rather long-winded story about how he was young and when Connie didn’t show up that day, he had to do something.  John wasn’t impressed with his sad story.  But Sonny snapped at him and made him wait until he got to it.

Joe Scully was the gangster who first hired Sonny.  Joe’s son, Joe, Jr, couldn’t get anything right.  Joe, Sr, put his son in charge of a club in Atlantic City.  John’s sister, Theresa, was a dancer there.  The kid hired her.  Sonny said John should blame himself for letting her end up at the club.  John said she had told him she couldn’t leave or her boss would kill her.  Sonny said that was not him, it was Joe, Jr, who was busy messing around with all the girls. The father sent Sonny to clean up little Joe’s mess.  Sonny found Joe, Jr. in a room struggling with Theresa.  Little Joe shot her, dropped the gun and ran.  Sonny was only trying to help Theresa.  He swore on the lives of his children.  John looked almost convinced.

Meanwhile, Kate was (surprise) crying her eyes out and telling  Ewen about how she was raped by Joe, Jr. when she was younger and got pregnant with his child. That’s why she didn’t meet Sonny on that fateful night. Sonny, all the while, thinking he was responsible for Kate’s breakdown.  Once again, Sonny has done nothing wrong.  It’s all Joe Junior, whoever and wherever he is.
