Llanview Sighting – Moving Day

Wednesday’s Episode (June 13, 2012)

John ran into Sam in the hallway, commenting that she had left the hospital already.  Maybe too soon as Sam swayed, but John was there to catch her.  As he helped her into her room, Sam asked after him.  John kept trying to cover it up, but Sam said she knew what Jason did to him and that she was never going to forgive Jason for it.  John told her the story of his sister.  (I’m wondering if she might still be alive.) When John said goodbye, Sam said he was being overly dramatic.  She was only moving to her mom’s.  But John said he was going back to Llanview.  It was time for him to get back to Natalie and Liam. Sam seemed very sad he was leaving.  She still hadn’t figured out where she knew him from.

At the Haunted Star, Johnny gushed about the state of the art sound system he was putting in his new club.  Starr said she thought she was ready for a new start.  Though she give any names, Starr told Johnny she knew who killed Cole and Hope.  Johnny looked panicked.  She couldn’t say who it was, but, she explained, it didn’t happen the way she thought it did.  Sonny didn’t do it.  She said she couldn’t be anywhere near the person if it was a mob vendetta.

Starr explained she needed to earn a living.  Johnny thought she was an heiress.  Starr assured him that she wanted to take care of herself. They talked about her working at the club, but Starr wasn’t much interested in waitressing.  Johnny said he’d find something else for her.  She wasn’t sure she was up to performing.  Johnny said, fine.  She could record, first.  (Not sure where he’s going to find a spot for a sound proof studio on the boat, but it is TV.)  Johnny seemed determined to take good care of her.  Starr said he was the answer to all her problems.

At the Metro Court, Todd wondered where Carly had been.  She’d been busy, how about him?  He took Tea and the baby home.  Carly wondered why he hadn’t stayed.  Todd told her he was allergic to balloons and confetti.  Carly thought he felt guilty about Victor, but Todd was remembering the baby switch.  Carly told Todd what a wonderful thing he did for Tea.  She went on about how sad Sam was about losing hers.

Carly wanted to know why Todd came back to Port Charles.  He explained to her that there was only one person who liked him in Llanview and he was only this high and thought he was Spiderman. Who else but Little Sam?  Even his sister didn’t like him at the moment.  He wanted to be there for Starr.  Carly argued that Starr was a grown woman and may not want him protecting her.  Todd thought Starr was vulnerable and needed him.  He was worried that she’d be working with Johnny.  Carly admitted she was back with him. Todd did not think that was a good idea.  Carly said he swore, no more secrets.  As a man who’d said that before, he wasn’t buying it. They had a long talk where Carly tried to convince him that Johnny was a good guy and would do right by Starr.  Todd thought Carly could do better than Johnny.  He was her father and he was going to meddle in Starr’s life.  He didn’t trust Johnny.  Looking at the local paper he thought the headlines were lame.  He tried a few and then said, “To Err is Spencer, to Forgive, DeVane.”  Not bad.

Later, Todd was in the lobby of the hotel, still reading the local paper and scribbling on it.  Starr came in.  She told Todd she didn’t want him around at first, but she did need him and was glad he was there.  They hugged.  When Starr told him all about what Johnny was doing, Todd had to admit he liked seeing her smile.  Starr wondered if this meant he felt better about Johnny.  Todd said he was moving to Port Charles.  Looked like he was thinking of buying the local paper and calling it the Port Charles Sun.
